Established: Notified as Rajasthan's 4th Tiger Reserve in 2022 — forming a critical wildlife corridor connecting Ranthambore Tiger Reserve to the south.
Location: Bundi district, Rajasthan — in the Hadoti region along the Vindhya hill range. Includes the historic Ramgarh forest and Vishdhari River basin.
Landscape: Rugged rocky terrain, dry deciduous forests, seasonal streams, gorges and ancient lakes — dramatic and largely unexplored by tourists.
Wildlife: Leopards, tigers (corridor movement), sloth bears, wolves, striped hyenas, jungle cats, sambar, chital, chinkara and 250+ bird species.
Cultural Identity: The surrounding Bundi district is famous for its palace murals, 101 stepwells, prehistoric rock paintings and the magnificent Taragarh Fort.
